Just an Indian carrying a bouquet of roses going down the street on a horse, that’s all. Typical Saturday in New Orleans. #nola

Hubig’s Pie ad, 1928. It made me sad to hear about the bakery fire today, but glad that they will rebuild again.

Walked into the Crown & Anchor in Algiers Point and just about everyone in the bar was in a Santa suit, naturally.

Before the Krewe du Vieux parade, I saw a cat enter a bar (Molly’s), plop itself up on a barstool and get served a drink. And that wasn’t even the strangest thing I saw last night.

The Nola Chamber of Commerce should put this video on their website. It’s wonderful.

As the dancers effortlessly swing, hop and sashay throughout New Orleans – from the abandoned Six Flags amusement park to Marigny balconies and a streetcar gliding down St. Charles Avenue – it’s impossible not to get completely swept up in the entire thing.
